What are my professional and academic credentials?
My name is Dr. Daniel Neff, and I have worked as a human service professional for the last nine years. I first entered the field when I graduated from West Liberty State College with my BA in Social Science in 2002. After working in the field for a short duration, I pursued my MS in General Human Services from Capella University while maintaining a full time position within the field. I graduated from my MS program in 2006, and shortly thereafter I entered a PhD program at Capella University. I enjoyed the eclectic coursework of the General Human Services program, and as result continued in that track from the masters to the doctoral program. After successfully completed my coursework, comps and dissertation, I graduated from the PhD program in April 2011. The qualitative dissertation that I successfully developed and defended was titled: The Lived Experiences of Obese Gay Men with Weight Stigma Within the Homosexual Community: A Phenomenological Study.
Due to being a full time student and working professional, I experienced firsthand the stress of juggling various priorities in order to complete my graduate programs. As a result, I would have leapt at the opportunity to obtain additional guidance and advice in order to complete my doctoral study. While I had a great mentor and committee, the time it took to receive study advice, chapter feedback, and IRB approvals added many months to the time it took to complete my dissertation. My objective for providing individualized qualitative coaching is to assist you with overcoming barriers to your study, provide advice about design and sample issues, ensure that your document is clear and concise, avoid pitfalls that I encountered along the way, and as a result assist you with finally finishing your masters or doctoral study.
Do I edit your work when I conduct a content review?
No, I review the document for global issues, and provide advice on how to improve the logical flow, structure, and clarity of the document.
Do I write your dissertation for you?
No!! I do not provide dissertation writing services, because I find the practice to be unethical. However, I will provide you with advice on how to overcome barriers that are preventing you from making steady progress in your study.
